Hello! It has been quite some time since I have written updates here, since I have been busy with school and other things…

From September through December, I did my first semester as an Engineering Physics student (last year (which was my first year of uni) was general Engineering), and I learned much in my classes. My favourite was Math 257, which was an intro to PDEs, where I learned how to analytically solve the heat equation among other things.

Since January, I have been on my first co-op/work term; I am working in the Physics/Astrophysics lab at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. I have learned a lot on the job, from cryostats and vacuum and cryogenic systems, to circuit design and some low-level software and digital signal processing as well.

I also got my first 8-string electric guitar recently! I got an Ibanez RGIR28FE, and I’ll upload some pics as soon as I get back to Vancouver (I am currently in Lethbridge, and the guitar is back home).

Largely influenced by this recent purchase, I have also decided to take on a new project, which is now underway: I will be building my own digital guitar pedal from scratch.
